Almost a month after the Korean media reported that the Samsung's
64-bit processor is being developed, now it is reported that the development is
almost complete. The report from ITToday mentions that Samsung has completed
the most difficult part of the development. The chip is currently included in
the final technical and logistics process.
According to the news, the processors will be embedded in
Samsung's 2014 flagship. Some reports indicate that the first device that will
be implanted with this processor is Samsung Galaxy S5. This flagship smartphone
will be use the latest 6th generation Exynos CPU with 14nm architecture and
support for 64-bit. In addition, this Exynos CPU also brings big.LITTLE
octa-core configuration with Cortex-A53/57 core. The eight cores will be
operating simultaneously and only consuming power half of the power uses by
Exynos 5420.
